Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) honors Paula Giles, Manager of the Central Sterile Processing Department, as the December Employee of the Month. Paula Giles will celebrate her 40th anniversary with TGMC in February 2019.
In an effort to recognize outstanding employees, TGMC names an Employee of the Month. Employee of the Month recipients demonstrate outstanding and constant commitment to the wellbeing of our patients, their extended families and staff. The Employee of the Month also makes it a priority to live TGMC’s mission of providing exceptional healthcare with compassion.
Paula began working on St. Joseph Hall in the “old” hospital as an LPN and later transitioned to the Surgery Department as a Scrub Tech. She transitioned to a coordinator role in the Central Sterile Processing Department and worked her way up to become the manager. Paula always gives 100% to her job and does the right thing because she understands the importance Central Sterile has to TGMC patients.
“I have been so fortunate in having this job. I have seen so many people come and go and many have remained very good friends. What else can you do that allows you rewards of helping people every single day and keeps them safe from potential harm,” Giles said.
TGMC Employee of the Month nominees are nominated internally based on their commitment to the TGMC mission to provide exceptional healthcare with compassion.
