Terrebonne General Medical Center’s (TGMC), nationally recognized healthcare organization, honors Linda Brumfield as the May Employee of the Month. Brumfield is the Emergency Department (ED) Hostess and has served TGMC for almost 15 years.
In an effort to recognize outstanding employees, TGMC names an employee of the month. Our employees of the month show an outstanding constant commitment to the wellbeing of our patients, staff and extended families, and through their participation in the personal journeys they have with them. The employee of the month also makes it a priority to live out the TGMC mission of providing exceptional healthcare with compassion.
Brumfield is described by her co-workers as the gatekeeper of the Emergency Department (ED). She is the first smiling face patients see when they enter TGMC’s Level III emergency department. TGMC’s ED treats more than 36,000 patients each year and is the first line of treatment for sudden illness or injury. Brumfield’s peers say she has an amazing ability to assess patient needs and determine who is most critical and needs immediate attention. She helps patients in and out of their vehicles and comforts them in their time of need. Brumfield is a dedicated employee with an insurmountable work ethic and contagious smile.
“I am honored to receive the May Employee of the Month recognition,” said Brumfield. “I enjoy working with my coworkers and serving the patients at TGMC.”
