PAUL LAFLEUR, RN, NAMED TGMC DAISY AWARD RECIPIENT
Date released: 1/30/2012
Paul LaFleur, RN in the Critical Care Unit at Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) has been honored with “The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.” LaFleur has been a part of the TGMC family for two years.
This award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. Mark Barnes and his family founded the award in 1999, and Terrebonne General Medical Center joins 708-other medical facilities honoring their nurses with this special award.
“I am both honored and humbled to be the recipient of this award. I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to the family members of my patients for their nominations; their kind words are much appreciated. Finally, I would like to thank the staff of the Critical Care Unit, they are the best,” said Paul LaFleur.
This is one initiative of The DAISY Foundation, whose overall goal is to help fight diseases of the immune system. Additionally, DAISY has programs to help fund research to improve treatment and ultimately cure Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), contribute to bone marrow and blood drives and provide support for ITP patients and their families.
