SABRINA FITCH, RN, NAMED TGMC DAISY AWARD RECIPIENT
Date released: 1/11/2012
Sabrina Fitch, RN in the Telemetry Unit at Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) has been honored with “The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.” Fitch has been a part of the TGMC family for two years.
This award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day. Mark Barnes and his family founded the award in 1999, and Terrebonne General Medical Center joins 708-other medical facilities honoring their nurses with this special award.
“Receiving the Daisy Award is such a rewarding gift to whoever receives it. I want to thank God, my family, and my co-workers for supporting me in my nursing career. It is such an honor and privilege to be part of the TGMC team,” said Sabrina Fitch.
This is one initiative of The DAISY Foundation, whose overall goal is to help fight diseases of the immune system. Additionally, DAISY has programs to help fund research to improve treatment and ultimately cure Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP), contribute to bone marrow and blood drives and provide support for ITP patients and their families.
