PAM PELLEGRIN, RN NAMED TGMC INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR

Date released: 3/11/2008

Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) is pleased to announce Pam Pellegrin, RN as the Director of Information Technology (IT).

Pellegrin has been a part member of the TGMC team for 27 years. Beginning as a head nurse in 1981, she has worked in multiple capacities throughout the organization. Her most recent position at TGMC before becoming the IT Director was IT Manager. In her new role she will be responsible for the management and deployment of the technology and communication services provided at TGMC.

Pellegrin earned both an Associate and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Nicholls State University, and has been board certified in Nursing Informatics from the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2000.

“I am very happy and excited about taking on this new position; first, because of the team of individuals that I lead within the I.T., PBX and Centralized Scheduling Departments. Everyone is very professional and committed to providing quality service and products. Secondly, this is a very exciting and challenging time as health care facilities move toward a “true” electronic medical record that services the needs of our staff and patient populations. We have many more projects on the horizon to accomplish that goal here at TGMC, but one project at a time and one hurdle at a time and we will succeed,” said Pellegrin.
