TGMC's Med-Care + Club

This program is designed for people on Medicare to help offset the medical payments over and above your insurance coverage. Terrebonne General Medical Center understands the financial burden facing our citizens who depend primarily on Medicare for their medical needs. Med-Care + Club is not an insurance policy, and there are no monthly premiums to pay. After completing the application form and returning it to TGMC, you will receive a special membership identification card that is your key to this new program. Eligibility should be determined at least 15 days prior to admission. The 15-day eligibility requirement may be waived only by the certification of Member Physician for emergency admission.

Medicare Part A & B- Hospital

If you are 65 or over and have Medicare Part A as primary coverage, Terrebonne General Medical Center will accept the Medicare payment and any other insurance payments (group, individual and/or Medicare supplemental insurance) which cover the Part A services as payment in full. This applies to Medicare allowable charges in the hospital and does not include requested private rooms, guest meals, or take home items not covered by Medicare Part A. Hospital Medicare Part B services will be handled in the same manner as Member Physician Part B services as described below.

Medicare Part B- Member Physician

The physician charges include those at your physician's office that are directly related to your hospital admission. A Med-Care + Club member is only obligated for the 20% difference between Medicare allowable charges and the Medicare payment for Part B services and Medicare Part B deductible.

Outpatient Diagnostic services for Medicare patients are not included in the Med-Care + Club program. Any pre-op, lab work, X-ray, and EKG testing are included if admitted as an inpatient.
FREE pharmaceutical consultation with the hospital pharmacist is available for all club members.

****A routine waiver of the Part B deductibles and/or co-insurance is not allowable under present Medicare law and is not part of this plan.
