Linda Price was named as Terrebonne General Medical Center’s (TGMC) 2013 Volunteer of the Year at a luncheon honoring the men and women who do volunteer work at TGMC held on Friday, April 11th during National Healthcare Volunteer Week.
The TGMC Volunteer of the Year is voted on by fellow volunteers. Price has been a part of TGMC’s Volunteer Auxiliary for ten years, dedicating just shy of 2,000 hours of volunteer service. Mrs. Price is well liked by all of her fellow volunteers as well as employees at the hospital. She always has a smile on her face. Anytime she is asked to help out she is more than willing.
“Mrs. Price always maintains a positive attitude,” Josh Faucheux, TGMC Volunteer Coordinator said. “People have said they look forward to the days the she volunteers here at the hospital because of her pleasant attitude. She is a true professional and a joy to work with,” Faucheux continued.
“I want to congratulate Mrs. Linda Price on her recognition as Volunteer of the Year. Our volunteers are truly dedicated to helping TGMC’s staff member’s, patients and their families,” said Phyllis Peoples, President and CEO of TGMC.
Some of the responsibilities that the volunteers have include sales at the gift shop, greeting and escorting our patients and visitors, delivering flowers and mail, and assisting in various clerical departments of the hospital.
