TGMC January 2014 Employee of the Month

01/06/2014

Michele Louviere has been named the Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) January Employee of the Month. Louviere works as a Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech in the Critical Care Unit and has been with TGMC for almost three years.

In an effort to recognize outstanding employees, the TGMC Customer Service Council has implemented the Employee of the Month program.  This program recognizes employees that exemplify the kind of person that patients, family members and fellow employees distinguish as role models. This employee shows dedication, outstanding work ethics and a positive attitude that is reflected in their day-to-day work and focuses on meeting both internal and external customer service goals.  This person also makes it a priority to live out the TGMC mission of providing exceptional healthcare with compassion.

Louviere began working at TGMC as an equipment tech in the Critical Care Unit. She quickly took the opportunity to advance to unit secretary/monitor tech for the Critical Care Unit. She has since devoted her time in the unit going above and beyond to ensure both nurses and patients have all their needs met. Louviere always takes time to do little things to help out her fellow co-workers. She is always making others smile, is organized and goes the extra mile. Her dedication reaches beyond the walls of the Critical Care Unit as she willingly sits with patients, works extra shifts to ensure needs are met, and volunteers to assist her co-workers with the digital transition. She exemplifies an employee who delivers exceptional healthcare with compassion.

“I enjoy working at TGMC because my co-workers have been very accepting and friendly towards me since my first day in the unit. I have formed many friendships and hope to have more. I hope to remain as an employee with TGMC until I reach retirement age. I am so grateful and blessed to be given this opportunity to work here, and the ability to assist the nurses and anyone working here at TGMC in any way that I can. Thanks to all who have believed in me,” said Louviere.
