Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) honors Eula Verret, RRT, as the August Employee of the Month. Verret is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the Cardio-Pulmonary Respiratory Care Unit at TGMC where she provides care for patients requiring cardiopulmonary services and mechanical ventilation in the Critical Care Unit.
In an effort to recognize outstanding employees, TGMC names an employee of the month. Our employees of the month show an outstanding constant commitment to the wellbeing of our patients, staff and extended families, and through their participation in the personal journeys they have with them. The employee of the month also makes it a priority to live out the TGMC mission of providing exceptional healthcare with compassion.
Verret has been a valued employee at TGMC for over 28 years. Her coworkers describe her as having great passion for what she does. She puts the patient first at all times. A critical care patient on a vent is not able to communicate effectively but Verret makes the commitment to advocate for this patient. She respects her team and works cooperatively with others. She is currently working in a position in which she is assuring best practice methods are adhered to for this vulnerable population. The position is in a trial period to assess its effectiveness and Verret has willingly volunteered to do this job because she is committed to our patients and committed to patient safety and quality.
“I have been here since 1988 and couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. TGMC has a family oriented core with a genuine soul that makes coming to work a blessing,” explains Verret. “I also enjoy the state of the art equipment and our entire interdisciplinary team that works wholeheartedly providing exceptional healthcare in our area.”
