Terrebonne General Medical Center’s (TGMC) honors Alea Veals as the May Employee of the Month. Veals is a phlebotomist in the Lab and Pathology Department at TGMC.
In an effort to recognize outstanding employees, TGMC names an employee of the month. Our employees of the month show an outstanding constant commitment to the wellbeing of our patients, staff and extended families, and through their participation in the personal journeys they have with them. The employee of the month also makes it a priority to live out the TGMC mission of providing exceptional healthcare with compassion.
Veals has been a valued member of TGMC for over three years. She is a skilled phlebotomist who is always willing to work extra shifts and assist other locations around the hospital when needed. Her co-workers describe her as an outstanding role model. Veals versatility, skill, positive attitude, and willingness to do anything and everything asked of her are an example of each of TGMC’s iCare standards of behavior. Her positive attitude is infectious and she has gained the utmost respect from all of the laboratory staff as well as from others outside the laboratory and the facility.
“I enjoy working at TGMC because I like being of service in my community,” explains Veals. “At TGMC I have the opportunity to touch patients’ lives every day who need it the most.”
