Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) is pleased to announce Darlene LeBoeuf as the new Controller of the nationally recognized, award winning hospital.
LeBoeuf earned her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Nicholls State University in 1990 and has 30 years of experience at TGMC. She has worked in accounting for 24 years with experience in many areas of the department. She has also worked in the Patient Supply Department and Centralized Billing.
The TGMC accounting department is comprised of 14 employees who handle all areas of finance with the exception of patient billing and collections. The department handles payroll for approximately 1350 employees every two weeks, processing approximately 92,000 invoices a year. In addition, the accounting department prepares monthly financial statements for the Commissioners, prepares an annual budget for the hospital by department, provides cost accounting data to assist directors and administrators in their areas, prepares the annual cost report for Medicare and Medicaid, and is responsible for TGMC’s annual financial audit.
“I have been here for many years and have seen TGMC grow in those years,” LeBoeuf said. “TGMC has been an intricate part of my life. As a child I remember my grandfather working here. I have received my degree, was married, had children and watched them go off to college, all while working at TGMC. I look forward to my future and TGMC’s future as we continue to grow together.”
“Loyal employees such as Darlene are essential to the success of TGMC, and we welcome the opportunity for her continued growth, contributions and success at our organization,” said Phyllis Peoples, President and CEO of TGMC.
