Rhonda Viteaux has been named the Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) September Employee of the Month. Viteaux works in Security as a shuttle bus driver.

In an effort to recognize outstanding employees, the TGMC Customer Service Council has implemented the Employee of the Month program.  This program recognizes employees that exemplify the kind of person that patients, family members and fellow employees distinguish as role models. This employee shows dedication, outstanding work ethics and a positive attitude that is reflected in their day-to-day work and focuses on meeting both internal and external customer service goals.  This person also makes it a priority to live out the TGMC mission of providing exceptional healthcare with compassion.

Viteaux is the first face that patients and visitors see upon arrival to TGMC. Rain or shine, cold or hot she is always available, compassionate, and willing to help everyone she meets. She is a prime example of an employee who goes above and beyond her job description and the call of duty. She is dedicated to the safety of all her passengers and strives to meet customer goals. She is empathetic in all situations, especially when she assists in transporting visitors and patients who have a difficult time walking. She is a marvelous ambassador for TGMC outside the walls of the building. Visitors to our facility often make a special effort to compliment her on the thoughtfulness, friendliness, and wonderful service.

“I was surprised, honored and pleased to be acknowledged for a job well done. I always strive to do the best I can. I love my job and the people I meet and help each day. For others to notice what I do is a real honor. No matter what position, big or small, performance matters,” said Viteaux.
