Raul Doria, MD has been appointed to the Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC) Board of Commissioners.
Dr. Doria is a Medical Oncologist and serves as medical director at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at TGMC. During his 15 years at TGMC, Doria has served in many leadership roles, including Director of the Stem Cell Transplant Program, Medical Director of Hospice from 1999-2009 and Vice-Chief of Staff in 2003.
He completed his MD from the University of Asuncion, School of Medicine in Asuncion, Paraguay. Dr. Doria received both this Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowships at Yale University, Yale- New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. In addition, he earned a third fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Bone Marrow transplant.
Dr. Doria has won many awards during his medical career that include the Ciba-Geigy Award for Best Resident in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami. He has also been recognized by the American Cancer Society as the recipient for the Audrey Mayer Fellowship Award.
