Nancy Dupre

Providing exceptional healthcare with compassion is the mission of every employee at Terrebonne General Medical Center (TGMC). In an effort to recognize those employees that truly exemplify TGMC’s mission in action, TGMC has implemented the Mission in Action (M.I.A.) award program.  This program recognizes employees that make it their priority to go above and beyond their call of duty to provide exceptional healthcare with compassion to patients and their caregivers.

TGMC is proud to recognize Nancy Dupre, LOTR Director of TGMC’s Health and Rehabilitation Department with the TGMC Mission in Action Award.

Going to mass on Christmas Day is something that is very special to Nancy and her family. However, this past Christmas was a bit different for Nancy. One of the patients in the inpatient rehabilitation unit was really looking forward to Christmas Mass, but due to their unexpected stay at TGMC, Christmas mass at their regular church was not an option. While working with the patient, Nancy learned about their desire to attend Christmas mass and decided to take her family to TGMC, get the patient from the Rehabilitation Department and bring them to the TGMC Chapel for Christmas mass. Nancy’s act of kindness filled the patient’s heart with peace and joy during the holiday season and TGMC wants to recognize her for her exceptional service to her patients.

“TGMC’s employees truly make it their mission to provide exceptional healthcare with compassion while at TGMC and when they are out in the community. Nancy is a great example of how our patient’s are our top priority,” said Phyllis Peoples, President and CEO of TGMC. “We are pleased to recognize Nancy with the Mission in Action award, ” Peoples continued.
