(Houma, LA) Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center has partnered with Matt Petersen, owner of Petersen Homes, to raise funds for the fight against cancer. Petersen Homes is building a house in Summerfield Place in Houma and donating $2,500.00 from the sale of the home to the Cancer Center.
The home is being designed with the help of Facebook followers. Facebook users can vote on many aspects on the home through the Petersen Homes Facebook page. Construction has begun on the home located at 631 Lancaster and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2017. Petersen Homes will post updates of the construction on their Facebook page and encourage the community to vote on design choices.
“We are excited to begin a partnership with Petersen Homes,” explained Melanie Guilbeaux, Cancer Center Director. “We appreciate their generosity of providing donations from the sale of this home to directly benefit our Cancer Center for support services to our patients and free cancer screenings in our community.”
