Summer is here!

More about Chef Jackie

Hospital food and culinary cuisine rarely go hand in hand, unless you’re referring to what’s cooking in Chef Jackie’s kitchen at TGMC. Thanks to her, TGMC’s cafeteria defies standards with its meals that are both delicious and healthy. With a culinary and dietetics degree, Chef Jackie knows the impact of fresh ingredients and the healing powers of comfort food. Chef Jackie believes that healthy eating can be delicious and encourages her staff and the community to use local ingredients and think outside the box.

Chef Jackie is very involved in the community and educating people on the importance of nutritious eating. She tailors her food and nutrition education to fight obesity, heart disease, diabetes and other related ailments common in Louisiana communities.  Stay tuned for videos and articles from Chef Jackie!

Chef Jackie oversees the preparation of over 264,000 patient meals in addition to 675,000 meals served in the hospital’s cafeteria and during TGMC’s catered meetings and community events.

  • Certified Executive Chef
